Hey there! I’m Josh and I’m the creative hands behind J.T.R.Jewellery.
I started my journey into jewellery back when I was in school and quickly took a liking to it. I pursued this further through to University where I studied at the prestigious School of Jewellery in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The School of Jewellery’s Silversmithing & Design course has an excellent reputation within the jewellery industry and allowed me to work at authentic jewellers’ benches, developing traditional skills alongside knowledge of contemporary cutting-edge technology.

Being born and bred in The Lake District I’ve always been surrounded by natural organic textures which is where I draw a lot of my inspiration from.

I love exploring different textures and how they can be integrated into my designs.I’ve discovered that the best way to do this is through the ancient technique of lost wax casting. This intricate process of hand carving directly into wax allows me to discover some remarkable and unusual textures and patterns.

When I’ve finally escaped the workshop I can either be found wandering down by the rivers with my dogs Pip & Purdy, or practising my cocktail making skills…
